Infield Drills

This video explains how important it is to maintain a constant speed throughout the process of fielding a ground ball.  I cannot stress enough the importance of staying smooth.  From the words of my college baseball coach "Smooth is Fast"

This video shows PFP..."Perfect Fielding Position."  This breaks down the mechanics of fielding a baseball.  What I will add is once you field the baseball replace your feet towards first base.  What I mean by this is since your left foot is slightly in front of your right if you replace your feet like you do when you shuffle this will help your momentom go towards first base.

Eye's Behind the Ball Drill

Mental Setup Before the Pitch

This drill is great for slowing players down and checking the point of contact.  Ensure that they are fielding the baseball "left of center" or "off there left eye."  Remember PFP "Perfect Fielding Position."
The left foot is slightly in front of the right, the back is flat, knees bent, glove out front/left of center, and the button of the ball cap is down.
